Savage Series K meaning?

So I've heard that Savage Series J rifles were like a "semi-short action", from back before there were long/short action receivers.

So whats a K series difference?? It's not short action, it's a 110 DL in 7mm Rem Mag...

I believe it is the same as a 110 series J. Probably an intermediate short action.

Doesn't seem to be, strikes me as a nice long action, port is over 3.7". And shoving a 7mm Rem Mag in a short action?

do you just mean the K in the model designation? usually 2 digit is short, 3 is long. 10 is tactical, 11 was mumble, 12 was varmint, 16 was something and one was stainless until some popped up in some other line then. and 110, 111?s, 112 and i really dont know if there was a 114 or 116.

they started with the 10fp, it was a base bare bones short action with internal box mag. not sure if it was center or staggered or screw spacing either. then, the 10fcp. mine. its got DBM and is center fed and the 4.40" spacing. heavy contour, #7 i think. could get hs and A5 from factory. then the 10fcp-k. I THINK it was the same, plastic stock, fluted barrel and muzzle brake/comp on it. not sure when the cocking indicator changed and the bolt release moved

I know those, 11 is hunter, 14 is classic, and 16 is weather warrior.

But, its not a K in the model designation, its on the barrl rollmark.

Tried that, got pushed off, told to mail a letter to some random guy who doesn't even work for the company. Also, got refered to him for the DOM by serial number.

That phone number is a stupid joke.
