Savage TR Stock

I bought a Savage FV as a trainer/plinker and LOVE the rifle. I can't believe how well it shoots with Wolf/SK. Anyway, the only grip I have with it is the POS nylabone stock. I wanted to get a stock that closely matched my B&C and noticed the new TR. I called Savage and with bottom plates, screws, etc... it would cost $206 to my door to get the TR stock.
It that worth it? Is there a cheaper place to buy it from? A better alternative?

I seem to remember somewhere that Boyd's has a tactical stock for this at about the same price.You certainly won't find it cheaper than that.....

Boyd's is out of stock. You can order and they will ship sometime in Sept it says.

Works out to $45 for the new metal and screws, and $79 for the stock. $124 not including postage.

You might want to double check with stockys as I havnt ordered from them because I cant (wont shop intl) but just double check to see if they are the correct metals for your needs.
