Was in my local gun shop this morning and noticed a Savage 112 220 swift that was setup for benchrest shooting. It had a trigger that felt awsome but its not accutrigger or the target accutrigger. Ive tried looking for images of this trigger online but havent had any luck. Guy at gunshop had no idea so I took picture of it with my phone. I can email picture to anyone just give me your email or number to send picture message. Dont know how to post from phone

Re: Savage ?

Yeah I run rifle basix on all the rifles I help guys with and it can be tuned down under 1lb with NO creep or overtravel. Total travel is less than 1/4" total.

Good luck,
Merritt

came skewed, but you can see it. kinda

looks accu-ish but modified or aftermarket. maybe a modified trigger shoe and a cut down accutrigger?

what are you going with Z71??

Re: Savage ?

I will just be sticking to the Accutrigger that I have. I always modify the trigger spring geometry and rates. My triggers are always made light, but are still safe.

I was just hoping to install the SSS Comp, but it don't work for the Accustock receivers. Figures. I just bought it and have already had to take a freakin loss on the project.

Re: Savage ?

I am very curious though just what trigger that is in the picture. It definately isn't a Savage trigger, or at least not any that I have seen from the factory.

I actually put one on my accustock model. Little bit of dremling and you are good to go.

Re: Savage ?

Well... that figures. I started to check things out to see about it, but I knew if I screwed it up I wouldn't be able to sell it.

If you can possibly take a few pics of it, I would like to see how you did it. I know that I would have to take either part of the trigger housing side off, or grind down the pin (which I didn't want to do), but I didn't see how the sear would be able to function correctly. I am curious to know.

Thanks in advance if you can do that for me!!

+1 that is what it looks like. Haven't seen to many of them though.

Info on trigger This one is on a Ruger

Info 2 This is on a Savage

I have read good things on these triggers.

Re: Savage ?

OK, that makes more sense to me now. CANJAR has been out of business since 2007 or 2008. IF you happen to find one, which I haven't been able to do so... all accounts seem rather IFFY as to whether or not it will be a good trigger. It seems that they used to be the "only game in town" so to speak.
