I just rewatched the fight. Once Johnson put Nogueira up against the cage, his accuracy was impressive, to say the least. His last ten or so punches not only were unanswered, and at least eight of them landed hard.
Strangely enough, Little Nog made more in the loss than Rumble made beating his ass. Including his win bonus, Johnson made $106,000 (didn't check FON/PON bonus). Nogueira made $114,000 in appearance money.
But Johnson's appearance fee was more than Matt Brown's $46,000. Brown could be medically suspended for as long as six months for "a possible fracture to open nasal area."
And speaking of Bellator, Randy Couture's son, Ryan, just signed with them. Hard to believe MMA has been on the big stage long enough that we're already seeing the children of the first wave of greats in the cage.
