Rifle Scopes SB 5x25x56 DT LP Help!!!!

Hi, I'm relatively new to rifle shooting , I just got a NIB Schmidt Bender 5x25x56 DT LP CW, yesterday I was putting my scope to zero , so I start to making the adjustments to the scope on the elevation turret and I don't know what I did, that suddenly the turret didn't move , so I loosen the screws again and this time it move but only 1 turn, so I loose them again and this time only move like 10 clicks, the I move it again and I got 1 1/2 turns the I got 2 full turns but with the yellow showing and so on and on.

So now I'm lost because
I tried to read the manual but it doesn't show much at all and when I turn the turret it moves CW up and CCW down.

Can anyone please help me on how to put it again to function normally???

I don't have experience with the locking turrets, but it sounds like that's where your issue may be. Is make sure the lock ring isn't engaged. Hopefully it's that simple, but I'm sure someone will chime in with an answer for you.
