I would say my two favorite scopes, just in case you wanted to know

. Maybe Kahles and NightForce would be the next two.
Steiner has a nice 1-6x, new for 2018. I like the Steiner a lot more for mid-magnification, like 3-15x. Both do well in the 5-25x. I like S&B more for the Ultra Short 3-20x. If you wanted to wait 6 months and get a 1-8x, I would go with S&B.

As far as pricing, coming out of SHOTSHOW, there are some good deals on S&B across the board. Maybe a little more flexibility on Steiner right now. Euro Optic has two or three S&B scopes that are unique to them, and if you don't mind the configuration (turrets, reticle, finish) they have some deals that nobody can touch.
