I am looking into possibly getting one of these conversion kits that will take a pistol and make it into an SBR PDW.

For example:

http://www.themakogroup.com/product_p/kpos-g2-glock%2021.htm

Now I know I need to do the Form 1 and get my stamp BEFORE I even bring this into my home and put the conversion together.

My question is this...

Once the pistol is put into the frame, and gains a stock, can it ever legally go back into pistol form? Once I have a stamp, can I go back and forth between SBR and pistol at will?

Thanks

Re: SBR Legality Question

Way over priced. Check out a company named RONIN ,Official Israeli Glock carbine kit. Also very fine peice of kit. I believe there is one on Gunbroker under Glock parts.

Re: SBR Legality Question

Yes you can. This was discussed by the ATF in one of their letters. So if you one day decide to take it a class/comp. in a different state but don't want to fill in the paperwork to travel interstate with an NFA item, just remove the stock and its back to a title I firearm.

This also goes if you ever decide to sell it. Just write the ATF requesting to have it removed from the registry, sell the stock, and then the handgun.
