Suppressors SCAR 17 adapter?

I got a few .30 cal rifles along with my scar 17 and I have been waiting for my TBAC 30P for a few months already. I would like to be able to use this suppressor on my scar but I have heard that since the scar barrel has little to none for a shoulder after the threads its not smart to just thread it on. Has anyone played with this setup? Machined maybe jam nut or just use the factory one? I have months to think about this so help me dull the pain of the wait time.

We strongly advise against a jam nut. They often lead to "non warranty" repairs.

You should be GTG as there is plenty of shoulder to torque a mount down @ 30 lbs.

Well I got a few more painful months to wait before I can try anything. You guys seem to think that the scar has enough shoulder to just thread the 30p on tell it bottoms? Zak, thanks for the info on the jam nut... I was not thinking that was going to be a good option but its good to know its out for sure. I should have got the 30ba and all this would have been a non issue but the extra cost of brakes was a little more then I wanted to play. If anyone has any experience just threading a can on a scar that would be great.

We've found a customer who has had great success using the 30P-1 on some SCAR rifles. Please email us or give Ray or I a call and we can walk you through the method and how to check if it will be OK.
