All,

Been looking around and can't find the best info.....I am going to be replacing the iron sights on my scar 17 and need intel.

Do I need micros? Specific height? I have read that troy micros work great and the regular troys are too tall.....misinformation or truth?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would prefer to avoid issues and embarrassment with attempting zero my first time out.

** Edit** Both front and rear are being swapped out as I am installed a new midwest rail.

Did you figure out and solve your dilemma?

If mounted on the top rail, they are the same height as standard AR15 sights. So I believe a set of HK sights made for the "standard" AR rail would work if that helps at all

Oh yea? I read a couple places of guys attempting to zero with standard height sights and they couldn't....but I'll just order my sights via amazon so I can swap em out if need be.

I'll check into it again...didnt mean to lead you in the wrong direction

Lord don't sweat it, Your trying to help. I don't know why i didn't think of this before but i can drop standard height sight on my scar in front of the stock scar sight....and measure to the center like you would ring heights. Should get me an idea right?
