I have a PMII, like the screenshot below. On my rifle, I have a 30 moa rail. I zeroed it today and only had 19 mil up from my zero. Does this seem right with 30 moa rail?

I thought I read that the PMII had 100 (~30 mil) MOA of adjustment, and you could only use 26 mil inside of the 100 moa (~30 mil).

The 30mils is TOTAL adjustment. Up and down. If you got zeroed and have 19 mils of upward adjustment you are totally fine.
On my 6.5CM, I’m 25mils to 1760 (mile). So I can dial 19, and hold 6 to get there. And, I have, that’s how I know.
19 mils of up travel is fine, and seems perfectly normal. I’m almost exactly the same with my A.I. and my 5-25 PMII. That’s 68.4 moa of travel.

30 (total)/2=15mil is middle + 9 mil (30 moa) (scope base) = 26 mil of travel up ???

Did I do my math wrong? Shouldn't I have 26 mil of up adjustment?

Also have to remember you’re not going to be EXACTLY in the middle of your scope. If that was the case, we could throw a scope on, set it in the center, and we’d be sighted in.
I’m just saying, 19 mils of upward travel is about perfect.

You’re expecting to put it on, be in the absolute center, and be gtg. That’s not totally how this works.

If you want all the travel a 45moa base or mount is recommended, I run a spuhr with 44.4 moa on a 0 moa rail and get 26 mil of travel, way more than I need but it’s nice for those random elr shots purely for fun

Yah it looks correct. Either something didn’t get installed correctly, or the receiver to barrel install must be negating the cant somehow.

I think I recall getting 21-22 with a Moa rail with the same scope.

Have you tried a different scope? Reinstalling the rings?

Your PMII is designed to use a 45 MOA base, so if you added the 15 MOA difference from your base to spec. (4.36 MIL) it would put you at 23.6 MIL of useable elevation, just about perfect. Depending on action/receiver design and ring height there will always be some variance.

That was my next step, throw a different scope on.

I did have a weird issue after zero, I only had 9 mil up even with the rev indicator black (first rev). took off and put back on and it fixed it self.
