Great addition to the market. I just wish they'd incorporate the illum knob into the turret housing.
Looks fantastic for SFP, I was hoping it would be FFP and reduce the weight from the Ultra Short 3-20, but looking at specs it appears to be the SFP equivalent of the Ultra Short but with no weight reduction??? Only reticle right now appears to be a fine crosshair with illuminated center dot called the D7. In their marketing they say "The patented ‘Minimum Deviation System’ ensures that any possible deviation from the point of impact is minimal." not quite sure what that actually means, anyone have the scoop on exactly what this is? I also found "The "S-Spring Technology" developed by Schmidt & Bender stands for a precise and repeatable bullet drop compensation (BDC) with precise tactile clicks." the two may be the same, so sounds like the turret is designed for bullet drop, I would be curious if this can be calibrated to your round, and how does it compensate for different atmospherics?

I have tracked it twice now, two different situations and both times it tracked 100%

I plan to ask S&B to loan me one either later in 2020 or in the beginning of 2021.
For all the flak they get sometimes, S&B is doing a lot of things right at the moment, so I have renewed interest in their products.

I just ordered one of these for a 7 mag hunting rifle. I will report back once it's up and running.
Looking at the specs it shows 148 MOA or 48 Mils that is enough to get that 300 way out there
I'm pretty sure the elevation turret has 15 mils of travel, but you will have access to less than that, depending on your base cant. Either way, plenty of travel for a hunting rifle. 6.5 CM shooting 140s drops about 8.5 mils at 1000 yards at sea level.
You should almost always get the full 15.
If I'm not mistaken internal travel is 148MOA/43(?)mil. The limiting factor is it's only the single turn turret. Which is 37.5MOA or 15 mil.
What do you mean by internal travel? I single turn is 37.5 MOA but it can make more than 1 turn? My Creedmoor would only make it to 1100 yards with 37MOA.
External travel (or the amount limited by the knobs) is all that matters, because it's all you have access to. Internal travel is how much the erector can actually move, irrespective of the knobs.
Wish dealers were selling the Exos as S&B advertised as an option with a double turn turret
I’ve had this scope (3-21 Exos with lrh-moa reticle) for several months. I’m very impressed with the optics, reticle and turrets. Most of my other rifles have been equipped with Swarovski Z6 or Z8 Optics, and the glass on the Exos is as good, maybe even better. Turrets are superior, deliver positive clicks, repeatable adjustments, and the bdc markers in the ST II B turret cap make it easy to produce your own custom turret cap in a matter of minutes, and easily re-do it if you switch bullets, loads, or move the scope to another rifle. The 37.5 moa travel would get me beyond 1200 yards for my 6.5 cm or 300 wm, for me that’s as long as I think I’ll ever need. The only negative (and it’s a minor thing) is the placement of the lit reticle adjustment introduces limitations on where you can place your rings. If you’re running a full length picatinny rail, it’s easily overcome. I’d buy another with absolutely no hesitation.
For people who’ve seen eyes on. The Exos looks to share the same body the 3-20 Ultra-short. They are obvoisly different scopes with reticles, day tima illumination, SFP vs FFP, mag range etc.... could anyone tell me if the optical performance and general charctaristics are any better when comparing to the Ultra-short?
Same to me ...as you stated your talking about two different scopes ....the exos was designed for hunting. Depending on your needs /use the exos doesn’t have a whole lot of adjustment in the turret compared to the ultra short
I have one. However I have never looked into the 3-20 Ultra Short so cannot compare.
The weather has been nothing but piss poor the last few months, but the 3-21 EXOS seems like an excellent optic, but it's hard for me to get used to the MOA reticle. Anywa did a few hits 400-500m + on my firts trials.
Thanks very much. I already own a 3-20 US with MSR ret. Was just checking it would be worth swapping out for if it bought me something I don’t already have (optical wise). By the sounds of it.... not really.
I had an old 5-20 US which I sent back to Germany and had the brighter illumination module fitted which made it better for hunting. Something I’ve yet to do with the 3-20 US yet.

I would not swap either. My friend use the 5-20 PMII MSR2 for hunting. We both have the new turret which is sweet.
The 3-21 EXOS turret is the new MOA turret with moveable indicators. Not sure about those yet.

Pretty sweet, I had the Spuhr hunting mount Cerakoted so I know it's mine.

That optic is now $4000 usd it went up $300 usd hard to stomach 4K when a Tangent can be had for 4K range ..unless they will increase too.I wonder if S&B price increase will hurt em or stay the same ??Pretty sweet, I had the Spuhr hunting mount Cerakoted so I know it's mine.

I'm no expert on the Tangent, but the one I looked into (can't remember which model) didn't impress really.
I’ve had mine for about a week, it is the mil version without the indicator. I’ve been thinking about going back to second focal point for awhile now, and this scope hasn’t left me any regrets. I have owned quite a few high end scopes over the years and I’m not afraid to try anything. The problem is once I try a new scope and a find what I perceive as a flaw I have to sell it and essentially move on to the next. After playing with it a week and doing some comps, I literally can’t nick pick one negative thing with the scope. Great magnification range, good eye box ( boarder line great), phenomenal fit and finish, and good but not great Fov. The turrets are the best I’ve ever owned. I’m going shooting this weekend, and I’m curious how I like the reticle. I also own a 3-12 polar, to me the polar has better glass, but this is right behind the polar.
