Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3-12x42 - A4 Reticle

Selling my Klassik 3-12x42 scope that was on my hunting rifle for this season. I am just not a huge fan of FFP for hunting. FFP A4 Reticle. Ding on the ocular bell that I did on the truck door. Have shot ~50 rds of load development through it since then and it of course tracked and held zero perfectly. Doesn't affect function in any way just figured I'd mention it. Slight scope ring marks from the Talley LW I had it in, even though they were only torqued to 20 in/lbs. It's really a great scope and NOTHING will beat it for this price I'm asking. I just can't do FFP.

Hello, If only it had a different reticle, I believe the A4 is very close together at the cross, correct? I like the more open or wider apart cross hairs.

Yea the A4 is fairly close together. I never found it to be bothersome and actually liked it, just wished it was a SFP. It truly is an excellent scope. I’ve never seen better glass on a variable hunting scope.

Did you use this scope for mainly hunting? Did you find it hard to locate the center cross in a hurried shot or a heavy brush area?

I did yes, for one season. We do a lot of “drives” and I never had trouble locating center on running deer in thicker WV woods. Never ended up shooting at one on a drive though. Killed two deer ultimately in fields.
