New Schmidt & Bender throw lever from the factory. It's a new product for 2017. Have not seen them for sale yet.

With all the new product line restructuring I would not expect them to be available till end of the year at earliest.

I checked with my S&B sources, and they said their plans right now are to offer this on some scopes in the Summer (2017), but not yet as a separate offering. My sense in talking with them was that this is integrated to the eyepiece, and not an add-on. We shall see.

I was told it will be available as a standalone accessory by the S&B service center but they were not sure what the availability would be

It doesn't fold and its fucking huge (pics don't do it justice). I asked rep if this (size and that it doesn't fold) is by design and he said "we spent a lot of time testing it and its sturdy as hell it sure wont break". How nice for S&B but carrying this on a rifle that is meant to be carried and used either in competition or in the field is a big no no unless you want bruises, holes poked in your body and/or various other gear, not to mention having nice strong big lever to increase torque on magnification system if you happen to put unintended force on it (as in rifle pressed at something or dropped or banged etc...) - i'd prefer lever to be broken instead of a scope.

But germans be germans (over engineering stuff since dawn of time) and if BMW has it S&B better have it too and relatively bigger :).

there is a 2017 shotshow video on youtube detailing its a stand alone accessory compatible with the SB scopes with the metal mag ring (not the rubber - too bad 5-25 owners)

I think all of the throw levers are a lil big, the knob on the Beast is probably the best. But I'd like to add this to my scope if/when it comes out. I saw it at SHOT and think it's a good addition.
