I get the wind calls from mirage. But if it's boiling straight up does it move your target perspective. For example if it's heave mirage, how much higher will it move the image of the target?

It depends on range but you have it correct, if the target is up you shoot down. Shoot into the mirage.

A "no-value" wind, based on reading the mirage midway between my position and the target, did not affect my aim point. Temperature and muzzle velocity variances had a larger influence. Cross hairs on target, and fire.
