243 with a 22" barrel, twist rate 9 1/8.....what are my bullet weight options? New to reloading to any information is accepted.

With that twist I had good luck with the 105 amax. All te other 105s and heavier would not stabilize. Also the 95gr sierras were a good choice.

I was hoping for that info on the 105's (now the task at hand is finding them).... any luck with the 80 or 100's ?

Before you throw in the towel on any bullet, you should try them. Twist plays the biggest factor, but speed contributes to it also. 243 is a relatively fast round, 105's might just work.

It is not the bullet weight but the length of the bullet that demands a specific twist rate. I would try a few different bullets. You may be able to shoot 105's
