schultz and larsen m70

Re: schultz and larsen m70

Good rifle. it was the first real .22 rifle i ever had. my first target. took a silver in the state games with it. they shoot real tight groups. use good match ammo and you will do just fine. I liked the way the stock was made. great for 3 P or even bench.

There were a small amount imported in the last couple years and sold in the 350-400 range, IIRC. I almost bought one. They were supposed to be very good shooters but hard to add optics too. I don't believe they were drilled/tapped/grooved for scope mounts and I was told they are very hard to drill due to surface hardness.

Loved my M70 so much it caused me to drop on a "project" m65, pencil barreled sporter in .308 Those Danes make simple, sturdy and smooth actions don't they? Can you imagine a Kreiger heavy barrel and a Manners stock on one?
