Rifle Scopes Scope Advise

I am looking for a new optic for a 243 I will be getting soon. The budget on this optic is $800 max. It will mainly punch paper and it will be pushed to 850 on steel every now and again. Looking for a good reticle and a fair priced scope for my budget. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you're not against a fixed power scope, seriously take a look at the SWFA Super Sniper 10x42 HD. Id say its one of the best scopes in your price range.

I like it and the price but I'd prefer a variable power optic.

I would say up to 20. Dont really need any more than that.
