On a R700 SA, is there a plus in using a single piece scope base over a 2 piece base. Looking at NF bases and they produce a 2 piece base, I would think its a quality piece if they're putting their name on it.

Guess it comes down to your scope choice and distance you will be shooting. The NF is a 20 moa dual base set. So with most 30mm tube 50mm obj scopes you should be good to go. The plus to a single base would be the integral recoil lug on the higher end bases. Also the ability to move the scope and rings a bit more fore and aft. The duals will give you a bit more access to the receiver and they are bout $30 cheaper.
