Rifle Scopes Scope base for remington 5R?

I think I know the answer but I want to verify before I order the base.
I will be ordering a Remington 5R next week. I have a scope and Seekins rings, but I need a base. I will be ordering a Seekins base.
Does the 5R take the same base as any short action Remington? The only variations I have seen listed are the long action which I know isn't what I need, but I saw one for a round rear bridge on a slotted receiver. I think that is the action for use with a stripper clip and iron sights and also not what I need. Correct?

Hi Jim. You just want a standard 700SA base

The 5R is not a model, it is the same as any other Rem 700SA. 5R is the barrel only.

I know that 5R is just the rifling in the barrel, but that is how most of us call the rifle too.
I thought it was the standard 700 action. I just wanted to check before I order it.

Last I read, the Remington "milspec" rifle uses the standard Remington SA reciever.

The Rem 5R uses a standard 700 SA action.

Seekins 20 min rail is a good fit for the 5R and yes it takes the same rail as any other Remington short action. It is far from being standard....
