Hope this is the only issue I have with my new Savage 10 FCP-K. Front receiver threads for scope mount were ever so slightly rough and I had to carefully "chase" the threads with the screw. Spin fine now.
Anyhow, this Badger Ordnance base is a finely machined piece of work! There doesn't seem to be any play/gap anywhere on the receiver. This would mean I don't need to bed the base right?
Also, the Badger instructions say to put a fine layer of loctite on the bottom of the base? That just doesn't sound like a good idea to me and I don't see why...should I do this?
