scope base ?

hi all fairly new here and need a little help. i'm getting a vortex 4-16x50 pst mil. and want to put it on my savage markii tr with heavy fluted factory barell. ( it looks like a straight contour to me but don't really know) leaning towards seekins rings, and dip 25 moa base. my biggest ? is
1.will i be able to zero at 25 yrds. with 25moa base and that scope? or will that scope get me out to 200 - 300 yrds with a straight base?

2.with that scope, one of those bases (you tell me witch one) and bc caps on that gun/barrel what size rings should i get.

was hoping to figure this all out and get the goods ordered so it will be here when i get the scope.

3. if you know of any place that sells dip and seekins i would love to know. save on shipping and what not.

one more ?
4. if i got quick release rings do you think i could zero a .22 at 25 or 50 yrds. than move the scope to a .270 and zero for 100 yrds. ( i would just remember the number of clicks that the second zero is at) and switch back and fourth between the 2 guns keeping accurate poi on both?

while you are thinking about doing it, might as well put the moa base under the viper.

i've had no issues zeroing @ 25 and being able to do 200-300 yards with any scope.

with the dip base, you should be good lows on 40mm or under, medium 40mm to 50mm including room for caps, 50mm being pretty close to the barrel.

no experience swapping scopes from one to another with QD rings, so no input on that other than if the bases are not the same height & moa slope, you could be turning those knobs a whole lot.
