Just ordered my US Optics 5X25, then found out the ridiculously expensive scope base for picatinny rails on my McMillan stock is on back order or "unavailable". Need some opinions for best 20MOA base for 34mm tube. Yes, Leupold is available, but is it worth the money? Sold my M1-A and Nikon optics, and got custom rifle, but customizing is a PITA! Looking forward to going back to scope had the opportunity to play with when was with Uncle Sam if I can get it mounted on the rifle!!!!

What rifle/action is the 20 MOA base for? You don't say. Only say it's in a McMillan stock. Also doesn't matter what tube size the scope has for the base but are you looking for rings too? Just need to help us be able to help you by giving us some info that is needed.

Sorry, I should have added that, but I am a little frustrated. Yeh, I like Badger's post. USO will probably build me one for $5000 or $6000.
I have an FN A2 SPR rifle on a McMillan A4 stock. Yep, need base and rings.
Took PLR 1 at Whittington Center last year. Sold my M1-A with Nikon optics as it was not up to 1000 yards. Have been trying to put together the money and equipment for PLR II this coming summer, and am slowly getting there.

Badger or Near Mfg. of Canada. I'd get the Near. Call Richard Near, he will get it to you quickly. He can also make you a one-piece scope mount that rocks.

I have 2 Near based both as good as it gets. But I also have a Murphy Precision. Every bit as good as Near but cheaper.
