Scope Base

I'm looking into picking up a Rem 700 VTR in .308 and want a Scope Base with a 20 - 30 MOA. Can I get some input on what bases you prefer, and why? Just looking into what you guys use and why.

I've used Leupold MK-4,Nightforce,Ken Farrell,and Badger.They all work fine,really can't tell any difference.The Ken Farrell are thicker,may let you use shorter rings.There are lots of other good ones,these are just the ones that I have used. Pete

I went with EGW (Evolution Gun Works), great quality and very affordable.

+1 for EGW. Really nice people and fast shipping. Better price than Badger too. Last time I got rings & HD base for $175 about what you'd pay for badger rings alone.

I've had good luck with Badger, Leupold & Larue.. I tried an EGW .. I am sure Seekings, Nightforce and other high end bases are GTG. Could have sworn I saw an identical post a day or two ago..

I have used Larue, Leupold MK IV, and Badger. I prefer the Badger because of the recoil lug. Glenn Seekins also makes his base with a recoil lug. Great for big heavy scopes.
