Rifle Scopes Scope choice for "SPRECCE"

I have a 17in Krieger barrel, 5.56Wylde chamber; trying to decide on a scope.

Trying to find a "buy once/cry once" scope for it.

Been concentrating on NF: 2.5-10X32. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of looking through a 3.5-15X50. . . . brighter, easier on my 50yo eyes, and better reticle choices.

I'm looking for the right setup for 500-600 yds, portable and balanced for the rifle.

Any suggestions for other choices? Have you ever regretted "overscoping" a rifle?

I have a Bushnell 4200 Tactical 3-12x FFP on mine, but that's just because I already had the scope from when I upgrades my bolt gun to a SS 5-20x. If I had been starting from scratch I'd probably have gone with the NF 2.5-10x like you are considering. I do really like the 3-12 mag range for an SPR though.

If you liked the mag range of the NF 3.5-15 you might also want to consider the Bushy HDMR and check out the G2 reticle: it gives you a 3-21 mag range, nice optics, its fairly compact (for the mag range) and a really great reticle (IMHO

)
