New RR LAR-8 varmint, wanting to hear scope choices, I am looking at Vortex 6-24x50(great warranty)also what scope mount? Thanks in advance for all suggestions- mark

I traded in my 4-16x50 PST MRAD as partial payment for an IOR Valdada fixed 16x. I had to give up alot of good features on the PST, but glass quality on the IOR is unmistakably better. It also has 100 MOA of elavation. You can get them for $800 delivered. Getting the fixed power was the only way I could afford that level of glass. It was awhile ago and I'm still glad I made the move. I don't shoot at targets up close so it works out great.
I use a Seekings base and rings. I truly believe they are the best deal going. They are on the same level of quality as the other high end names, but the price is much lower.

The Vortex "Precision Matched Rings" are made by Seekins. They just cost a little more and have a Vortex logo on them.
