Looking to upgrade my scope for my first long(ER) range rig. Have a Viper HST 6-24 now.
Banging steel and punching paper out to 1K+. Probably some local PRS matches after I get tuned in.
Looking at the Mark 5... probably 7-35 with CCH reticle.
Or the Leica PRS with the PRB reticle.
I can get both for around the same price.
Biggest difference would be the Leica being illuminated. (I know I can cough up the money for the Leupold to be illuminated too).
Open to other suggestions too. I'd like to keep it under 2k...tracking and clarity are important...can't stand crappy glass. I don't want a real busy or heavy reticle.
Those are my 2 picks for the moment. Not sure what else to consider. The Vortex would be another option. I know they are hugely popular. I feel Leupold and Leicas glass are probably a little better.
