Looking to see if a lower magnification AMG gets released at shot for a lightweight hunter.
Looking for the same thing.3x18 or 4X20 and about 2 inches shorter.Looking to see if a lower magnification AMG gets released at shot for a lightweight hunter.
Looking for the same thing.3x18 or 4X20 and about 2 inches shorter.
And can we finally get the EBR-7C in the AMG. Cant understand why vortex wont put their best reticle in their flagship scope.Looking for the same thing.3x18 or 4X20 and about 2 inches shorter.
I would be a buyer for sure.Well according to cameraland Doug Leupould are releasing a 3-15 VX5hd Mil/Mil with TMR reticle.
That is just what I want, perhaps a 2-10 with the same would also be fantastic.
That would be something else.I would be all in on that.If you got their ear talk them into it please.A 30mm version of the ZC420 would be ?
LW LPVO 1-6ish power range. LPVO weights are ridiculous for there intended role
This^^^^^^Would be EPIC!!!!!!!Leupold Mark 5 2-10x32 or Mark 6 2-12x36. A Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 that’s mil/mil.
I'd like my ZP5 to be valued at what I paid for it again ?
How much are they worth now?
I have both of those scopes and you made a wise choice. You will love them both.
I'd like a ZC 5-25 retail for what the ZP5 is now worth....I'd like my ZP5 to be valued at what I paid for it again ?
Leupold: come out with some good .2 mil hash reticles, not the junk you currently have. And STOP charging a fortune for illumination.
Schmidt & Bender: come out with a cleaner .2 mil hash reticle, GR2ID is too busy for some and MSR2 doesn't have the Christmas tree. While you're at it, a PM III where you get rid of the illumination tumor sure would be nice. Go back to 14 mil turrets for Ultra Shorts, 18 mil is waaaay too close together and mushy. Finally come out with DT2.
Minox: A new ZP5 designed by GSO similar to the Blaser Infinity 4-20x58 with slightly thicker MR4 style reticle.
Blaser: Come out with a .2 mil hash reticle for Infinity series FFP scopes and illuminate the whole reticle, provide 10 mil turret with zero stop.
ZCO: A new MPCT3 reticle with dots in the Christmas tree instead of solid lines.
Burris: Get the illuminated XTR III's out fast.
Nightforce: Update ATACR line with better glass and 6x magnification, a 5-30x56 and a short 3.3-20x50 which solves the shortcomings of the NX8 2.5-20x50.
Kahles: Scrap the K525i and K318i in favor of scopes that have better FOV, outstanding IQ throughout the entire range and no CA.
Vortex: About time for a new AMG, would love to see a 3-20x50 as good optically as the Schmidt Ultra Short but with 30mm tube and under 30oz. Viewing the AMG team as the Skunkworks of optics, this should be easily accomplished by the team.
USO: Hire some new optical engineers and come out with some groundbreaking designs.
March: Come out with a 4.5-28x52 High Master scope (oh wait, they are coming out with this scope) Also, come out with a short and light 3.2-20x52 that fixes the 3-24's issues with finicky eyebox, DOF and parallax.
Tangent Theta: You've been riding on the laurels of the Optronika design for too long, have your optical engineers come out with something spectacular, think Ultra Short 3-20 and ZCO 4-20 good. Make a lightweight (sub 30oz) 30mm (with minimum 20 mil turrets) version and a heavyweight (sub 35oz) 34mm (with 35 mil of travel) version and offer Gen 3XR reticle.
Bushnell: Come out with an elite tactical 30mm version of the 3.5-21x50 that is under 30oz with ED Prime glass, focuses to 50y or even 25y and improved .2 mil hash illuminated reticle.
Thanks Bash, but I would say they are listening. The NX8 and Burris XTR III are prime examples of this, they aren't perfect as the NX8 could be better optically and I wish Burris went with a 3.6-20 instead of a 3.3-18 design but the plethora of ultra shorts that were introduced in 2018 is surprising and I think more mfr's will follow suit. Now is the time for us to start seeing "lighter" scopes coming out in the FFP market. This is a great list! I'd expect nothing less from the minds of someone like you. Now, if only the manufacturer's would listen...![]()
TLDR: Every scope MFG - do better. HahaLeupold: come out with some good .2 mil hash reticles, not the junk you currently have. And STOP charging a fortune for illumination.

I already have one ZCO 420 and two TT315s.....I would love to see the smile on your face when you open those boxes.
Yeah, Richard is my optical drug dealer....He loves them so much he bought another set haha
New year, new gearWhat scopes are you buying or what scopes would you like to see come out?
A purpose built long range hunting scope:
John
- 30mm tube.
- Low profile 10 mil/rev elevation turret with large, easy to read numbers.
- Zero stop.
- Low profile capped windage.
- 3-18x
- 50mm objective
- Adjustable parallax from 10 yards to infinity.
- Reticle legs should be at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock.
- Center portion of reticle should be .05 mils thick with tick marks every .2 mils out to 4 mils. 4 mils is plenty enough to allow for windage hold in a full value 30mph wind at 1000 yards and having bold posts at 4 mils allows bracketing of vitals in close range, low light scenarios.
- Reticle should have bold post from 4 mils from center out to the edge of the field of view.
- Post should be bold enough to clearly see at lowest magnification under bright moon light, allowing bracketing of vitals in low light.
- Scope should track accurately, retain zero and return to zero 100% reliably.
- Would be nice if it could be had at 24oz or less But bullet proof reliability trumps all.
Very nice wish list Bill. I'd say that encompasses anything longer range. You're the odd man out with no LPVO wishes.?Leupold: come out with some good .2 mil hash reticles, not the junk you currently have. And STOP charging a fortune for illumination.

LPVO’s don’t excite me that much to be honest, that is a market with many options and outside of the March Shorty 1-10 and the new Vortex Gen III 1-10 that was leaked I have a hard time putting down the kind of money they ask for - for the good ones. I suppose more than another scope I’d love to see some new reticles. If Blaser had mil hash marks with their variable size dot that would be pretty slick. The new Razor Gen III mrad reticle looks interesting. But if I want a CQ and long range I’d rather do something like an XTR III 3.3-18 with a RDS mounted on it at a 45 than most of the LPVO’s out there. one of my favorite setups for a LR AR was the Schmidt Ultra Short 5-20 with a Doctor Optic RDS mounted on the ERA-TAC mount. once the XTR III comes out with illumination I think that’s exactly what I’ll do unless the new Gen III 1-10 is perfectly executed, that may be the only thing to sway me at this point for my SPR.Very nice wish list Bill. I understand. I have that same issue with super expensive LPVO - in that I haven't managed to talk myself into a pricey one just yet. Which Is why I jumped on that Bushy Doug has on sale, though as you know the ZP8 tempted me during that Minox sale. I just couldn't put that money on a 1-8x. I I think for each manufacturer you called out exactly their shortfalls. Good job as always.LPVO’s don’t excite me that much to be honest, that is a market with many options and outside of the March Shorty 1-10 and the new Vortex Gen III 1-10 that was leaked I have a hard time putting down the kind of money they ask for - for the good ones.
