Rifle Scopes Scope for 100-200 but occasionally out to 600 yards

If you had up to $1K to spend on a scope for a .308 rifle to shoot primarily at 100-200 yards, but occasionally out to 600 yards, what would you pick and why?

I currently have an M107A1 with a Steiner Tx5i 5-25, and really like and would lover another, but that's a bit more than I want the keeper of the checkbook / credit cards to see passing by.
Target shooting only, maybe a few hogs here and there but I'm done getting up early for deer.

The Steiner 4-16 P4Xi is about perfect for a 308. I have one on my 308 and really like it.
