Looking for a scope for a long range AR-15 in .223. 26” krieger barrel throated for 77 gr SMK.
Also a AR-10 in .308. .26” krieger barrel throated for .175 SMK.
I would like to buy just one if possible.
Rifles will be used on steel only.

Started with a NXS 2.5-10x32. Nice compact scope but wanted more magnification for precision work. Next went to a Bushnell LRTSi 4-18, nice glass but reticle was just a little thick on max power. Ended up with an Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56. My search is over, great glass, nice reticle...plenty of magnification. On my range days where I brought 2 long guns, the Cronus on a .223 JP gas gun and an AMG on a 6.5CM...I usually shot the JP/Cronus first. When switching to the 6.5CM/AMG....I would actually be disappointed with the AMG image. Don't get me wrong, the AMG is a great scope with high end features.....but I liked the Cronus better. Sold the AMG for a 2nd Cronus.

Crap, I have the Cronus BTR and wanting the AMG. Wish we could have worked out a trade

Fantastic company. First class service and have nothing but good things to say about their team. Have been based in California but moving to Montana I believe?

Their scopes hang with the alphas. USO has been in the custom scope making since the get go but saw some common customizations and now offer a handful of “off-the-shelf” offerings. If you want a truly customized scope, their the ones to do it for you. I would take USO over nightforce, unless you like the ATACR series. Those are very comparable. USO is known for making some of the toughest scopes money can buy. Ruggedness is unmatched.
