Howdy! I'm a newbie to this site, and I was wondering what you felt was a quality scope for a remington 700 chambered in .308 in $300-$400 price range. I have looked at the Nikon Buckmaster 6-18X40, the millet LRS and TRS, and the SWFA Scopes. I am starting to get into long range shooting with a buddy, and I'm a college student looking for something of good quality and reasonable price so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you... Yeah I haven't been able to put my hands on those and actually look at them... I've just been going by the reviews on the site for the Millet scopes. I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the Buckmaster, but I am open to hear everyone's suggestions

It's a beautiful rifle! My only problem with the SWFA SS is that it is a fixed power, and I'm worried that it will limit me because I will be using mine for hunting as well as paper punching!

I'm looking at the 3-9 first focal plane mildot. I know its a couple hundred more than you want to spend but one thing I've learned is you get what you pay for and from what I hear in regards to the SS is you get MORE than you pay for.
