Rifle Scopes Scope help

I'm currently helping a buddy put together a 6.5 Creedmoor AR. I'm needing some advice for best scopes for his application and budget

• Platform - 6.5 CM 18" match AR barrel, Aero Precision M5 builder kit
• Cartridge - 6.5 CM
• Intended Use - Hunting (whitetail deer, varmints, hogs) / Target
• Conditions - Day, Night
• Typical Distance - 25-500 yards
• Specific specifications - 30mm tube.
• Price range - $350-$700

Illuminated
Reticle------what does he like......crosshairs or x-mas tree?

I would check the optics for sale on the hide....

Check the usual suspects Athlon-Burris-Bushnell-vortex

Sorry I couldn't be more help but I only have one scope in your price range it's a weaver tactical on an AR that shoots steel out to 300 yds only.

Yeah, Its tough. 30mm tube, BDC reticle, shouldn't matter on illumination, and i can't imagine getting a good FFP under $500.

I believe swfa has a 3-9 in that price range and surely Leupold should have something.

I see that Camerland has some Athelon FFP mil Argos in that price range. A call or PM to Doug may be in order to get the best Athelon fit.

I've got both the athlon argos and midas. I would recommend either one.

Resurrecting this thread,

He may be willing to increase the top end to $700. Which adds the Trijicon Accupower 4-16x50 MOA, Vortex PST II, Burris Veracity 3-15x50 Ballistic Plex E1 FFP. I wish Leupold had kept their varmint reticle around, their reticle designer scores no points with me.

Any thoughts?
