Rifle Scopes Scope mount base ID?

Hi all-- first post, though I've followed for a while.
i just had a really quick question about identifying the scope mount base in the attached pic (from Mauser's site). It's clearly not a rail of any sort, and does not appear to be any dovetail base I've seen.
maybe this is a really dumb question, but what type of base does this appear to be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Excellent- thanks- now to see if it'll work with the Mauser with the 56mm optic.
