I have the Vortex Viper HS 5-15x on order from Midway. Now I need to decide on how to mount it. What advantages/dis. for 1 piece scope mount or rings? Should I get any MOA built into the mounts or not? I am leaning strongly towards a LaRou Tactical mount. I am mounting this on a RRA LAR 8 with 20" barrel.

I went with Bobros one pc mount, slightly forward, low mount , works great with the Vortex and Throw lever, Comes on and off very fast and solid. His customer service rocks.

I have used LaRue's LT-104 on a s/a 308. It worked fine, locks up great, very good return to zero if you take it off. Whether you need MOA built into it depends on your load, rifle, and distance shooting. I don't think I was able to reach 1000 yards with the 18" barrel and the scope I was using.
Their stuff is excellent and is what made them popular to begin with before they started making rifles.
