Scope mount kit?

What exactly you after?

If you buy quality base and rings, feeler gauge set (or deck of cards) for leveling, and a Borka torque kit, you need nothing else. Plus, the Borka kit will work for other maintenance as torqing the action screws, skin fasteners, etc. I've never used levels, pointers, or lapping bars, though I do have a 1" counter-shaft from a Muncie 4-spd for twisting and aligning dove-tail rings.

+1 on knowing exactly what you are looking for in terms of a "scope mount[ing] kit?"

There are all sorts of gimmicky "kits" out there for sale, but with a quality set of rings and base (or 1pc mount), it isn't rocket science to properly mount/level a scope.

QD Outlaw, You have identified quality rings & base - good choice!

Next steps:
o Read Badger's installation instructions. If you don't have hardware yet, download from their site.
o Get the right tools (Borka, unless you have a good lb/in torque wrench/driver and bits) and some blue (not red) Loctite.
o Check for *possible* need to bed base, especially if Rem700. Do a search here for "how to" if needed.
o Bore sight by pulling the bolt and using your eyeball - not some gimmicky tool - spend your money elsewhere.
o Go shoot!
