Ok, I have been doing research for the last two days on QD scope mounts and a base for my Remington 700 AAC-SD which is setting is a AICS 1.5 Chassis. I ordered a Burris XTR II 5-25X50mm ( 34mm tube)has came in and I will be picking it up when I return from Ft. Knox next week. I have been looking at either the Bobro dual lever precision 34mm mount (0 MOA) or the Larue LT 120. Are these two mounts going to set to high? What is everyone's thought on these two mount and which would they go with. I know with the Military discount BoBro offers it is actually cheaper than the Larue.

Right now I have a cheap Oculus 6-24X50 setting in a set of Weaver 6 hole rings. I attached a picture of my rifle for reference.

Thanks

I have the bobro and have had many mounts from larue. I use the bobro on my spr. To give you an idea of height it will clear a flat top rail with my ERS which is 50mm.

I think these may be alittle high but it depends what you like.

I used the larue low rings on my remington 700 with a vortex pst 50mm with butler creek caps and it cleared the barrel by alittle.
Those were like .88" high I think.

If I have to choose id go with bobro but I am not sure they offer a low enough set for what I like.

I can post pics later of the larue mount I had on my aics rem700 when I ran my s&b which is a 56mm obj.

I know the mount was like 1.35'' high but I can't remember the model. My point is this was even too high with the larger 56mm obj.

Ok, I would appreciate you posting a pic.

I apologize in advance for the extremely bad picture quality. All my money goes into the rifles not the equipment that is used to photograph them...

I hope this gives you an idea of how high your scope may sit.

Here is the Larue LT807 which is 1.375'' centerline. Its a S&B PMII 34mm body with 56mm obj.

You can see how high its sits even with the larger obj.

Here is the LT719 rings at .875'' centerline with a vortex PST with 50mm obj.

Here is the current set up with the Spuhr 1.18'' centerline. Again S&B 56mm Obj

I have the bobro 0 moa with 20 moa base on my aics chassis. I'm almost out of mil with steiners military msr 25x.
The bobro mount is way too tall
