Hello all, new to the Hide. I recently purchased a DPMS LR308 and have began to build the rifle to my specs, magpul prs, trigger job, fluted barrel etc. But my question is, what would be the best scope for a rifle like this. This is a new realm for me as im from an ar15/eotech past. I would like to stay below 500 bucks. Any info and explanations would be appreciated.

Its a bit outsid the $500 you mentioned, but check out the Leupold VX-R Patrol line.

I do not have your rifle. Also what are you looking for fixed or variable. I do have the new Vortex Viper that is a midwayusa exclusive. It is a very nice scope for the money (curently 399.99) but back-ordered. It is 5-15X44, side focus, SFP, zero stop, MIL/MIL.
