Hey guys just had a quick question I just bought a Leupold Mark 4 ER/T 4.5-14x50mm from here on the hide and the scope came with badger .88 low rings and its going on a rem 700P in 223.I am wanting to know if a EWG HD Picatinny rail would fit with the scope combo and do i need a 30 moa rail? Im looking for the hight of the base so i can do the math in the scope ring math tread but cant come up with it. The shots will be out to 500 yards max.

A 20moa base will be plenty with that setup. I'm assuming the leupold has about 80min of total travel so id guess you having at least 50 min of up travel with a 20moa base which is more than enough to 500.

A 20 MOA rail should do fine. Worst case scenario you will have to go with slightly higher rings. Although you should be okay. EGW makes an outstanding base. I have one on my Savage 116 and it has turned out great!
