Out In Front.
Hey all- Starting things off in here w/a question. Certainly won't be the last one, either.

I got these scope rings w/my SR-25 years ago along w/a couple other bits and pieces the seller included and they've been lying around the work bench all this time... like 10 years. The only thing I know about the rifle's previous and only owner was that he was a die-hard KAC guy... and going through a nasty divorce hence he was selling the rifle(I got a GREAT deal on it for cold cash... "ex-wife untraceable!"). I always assumed they were KAC rings but I can't find any other example of them online. They appear to be 18mm. For whatever it's worth, the rifle is a very early ser#, probably made in the early 90's... she's a beauty.

Any idea what these are from the resident experts? Hopefully it's hasn't been staring me in the face all this time but I'm not the most internet-savvy dude in the world, I can tell you that!

Thanks in advance! -YZ

You're reading the vernier wrong, it looks like about 23.9mm because the 0 mark is not quite aligned with the 24.

Those look like 1" rings and as said there will be some gap between the cap and base when installed.

I can't tell you who made them, I have no idea.

Measure across the lower half at screw bosses.
Could be early Smith Enterprises Rings...

Pulled my head out of my ass and remeasured. Definitely 1".

I guess pinging Smith and seeing if he recognizes them couldn't hurt. Are they on this forum?

I dont think Smith Enterprises is. And all the smith rings I can find have grooves inside the ring body and no material relief/missing for weight like yours are. Some badgers have that relief but they have an angled cap, not smooth curves like yours. KAC have a circular material relief, not squared out like yours.
No clue whose they are.

I think as previously said those are 1" rings. The caps shouldn't be touching the bases when measuring. I'll bet a rimfire scope will fit in there perfectly.
