Rifle Scopes Scope rings for an OBR

Will 1 inch rings clear a 50mm objective? I have a scope and night force medium rings but do not have the rifle. I will be flying out with my optic and rings next week and will be mounting it on an OBR when I get there.

LaRue "OBR" i.e., are you asking if a 50mm bell will clear a flat top rail?

If yes, you need right around 1.175" to perfectly clear, so 1.2" to comfortably clear most 50mm bells ... and you still likely wont be able to use caps.

Ok I will need to purchase higher rings then. I had some 1 inch NF rings sitting here and I was going to give them a job. Thanks.

Sure thing. My roommate is scopeing his POF P308 with a S&B 4-16x50 so we just went through this entire rock drill testing 1.00" Badger USMC and 1.125" Near Alphamount I had laying around. He's narrowed it down to Badger 1.257 or 1.275 (whatever it is) or waiting for Seekins 1.25" cause he wants to use scope caps.

Does the POF308 have a 20MOA cant built into the top rail like the OBR ?
