Rifle Scopes Scope rings positioned right?

I don't see any cause for concern with your set up. It's fine.
If your eye relief is good and your comfortable behind the rifle without having to do a bunch of squirming around to get comfortable it's GTG.
I see you having it forward a good bit. If length of pull, your physique, preference, etc needs the optic more forward to achieve a better view through optic, just be aware you can go to a one piece cantilever mount which are common on ARs.
This will put optic more forward. 1.5" is a common height but your optic, and if you have adjustable cheek riser, etc should be factored in there. Just food for thought in case you need the optic more forward.

I can see why you asked the question. Unless there's an repeatable issue with sight picture, scope rotation, turret tracking, mount loosening.... there's no real concern.
I think one might be able to argue the placement of the front ring is too far forward. At that we would break down into some aspects of the physical forces applied during firing, how often do you need to remove the hand guards, etc etc etc....Someone could offer the suggestion to use a different mounting base to tie the hand guard mount rail to the upper mount rail.

I agree with you on all counts. I'll change up after this weekend’s deer hunt. My AR15 is my everything rifle.
The weaver base is a temporary thing to play with a 20MOA angle with a 5.56/.223 round and give me more room for scope placement.
I'm not. I just suggesting should someone want to get deep in the weeds there could be a discussion point to be made.
@BigPineyTradingPost : I'm not suggesting any changes, just giving another thinking point people might make about the setup. As you commented there's not much room to shift around using just the base upper rail. If you are dropping the rounds where they need to go, have no problems with the setup, just run whatca' brung.
I have several different adjustable stocks on my ARs and the position that works best for me (6' 1") is the back end of the scope just forward of the charging handle, this is with the stocks fully extended. It also makes it easier to pull, even if you have an added lever. Any 2" offset mount will give you that position with room to spare.
Why do you need the 20 MOA base? What distance are you going for? You can get the offset mounts with the 20 MOA built in btw.
