I picked up a APA .223AI for the wife. I was trying to think about what scope to put on it. I have a S&B 4-16X50 that I could move around and put on it, but I thought that it might be too big of a scope. I kinda like the lower profile USO's. I wanted to keep this thing handy and not a bench gun. Something in a 10 power would be ok, not sure I want to go less than that.

So, any thoughts on what scope I should get? I'd like to stay south of $2400.

Re: Scope selection

Assuming she does need to range with the reticle or mil/mil adjustments...?

What about a high end hunting scope. Leica 4-14 w/ target turrets came to mind or maybe a Swaro Z6.

This one says elevation target turret, I've been looking for a good picture of one for a while, I wonder if it's capped windage which would be cool.

2.5-15 would be a useful range on a handy 223, ballistic turret on the Z6.

Re: Scope selection

Yea, she doesnt want to range with it, she has her big rifles for that. Target knobs would be nice to dial with since she is used to dialing VS holding over, but its not as quick. She is so used to shooting prone and dialing that it might be difficult for her to do hold overs till she gets used to doing that.
