Rifle Scopes Scope suggestions plz

Ok so im getting a savage mark II FV w/ bull barrel .22lr and i cant decide on the optics. ive been considering the nikon buckmaster mil dot model but was wondering if anyone else knows of a decent mil dot scope for around that much ($300).

I'd look at the viper 3x9. Not sure if they have a mil dot in that price range but I'm pretty sure they have a bdc reticle in that range.

well been looking think i might get the sightron SI 3-9x40 they got it for $150. i think it should be perfect for what i want it to do. well now just gotta get the mounting picked out ill take suggestions for that as well ha.

The Sightron 3x9 mildot is a good scope for the money. I've had one for about 4yrs. on a muzzle loader. It has held zero.

I was about to suggest the SS 10x42 when I quick read and saw the $300 range, but then saw the 22lr and take that back...might be a bit much for this application.

Nikon Buckmasters 6-18 and Weaver V16, as well as the V24 are excellent scopes for the money.
