Rifle Scopes Scope Suggestions

I don't know too much about optics other than you get what you pay for. But if you had to pick a scope for right around the $400 range, which scope would you choose?

I just picked up a new scope for the 10/22 and decided to go with the Vortex Viper w/ bdc reticule. Glass is clear, side focus. pull up zero knobs (I really like that) and the best warranty in the business! If You can hold out for a month Camraland has a great deal with the V Plex reticule for $279. Hope this helps, Good luck!

The Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x would be a good way to go for the price or the Vortex Viper.

What rifle will this be going on?

At what distances will you be shooting?
