have a 223 bolt action and need a little advice in selecting a scope. just plan on shooting targets and having some fun about 125 yards. fixed or multi power ??? around $400-$500 budget. any in-put welcome. thanks

Any of the fixed SWFA SS and Weaver are tremendous values. Also Redfield nice too.

For punching paper the Millet TRS is a decent value under $ 300. It is by no means a high end scope but for what you are looking for it may save you a few bucks.
