Looking for scopes that compete with the Burris xtr2 2-10x42 mainly

Looking for 50+ ft FOV on bottom end
Looking for 40+mm objective (requirement to fit attachment)
Illuminated reticle or center (prefer non tree)
FFP
Mrad
Big eye box

The Burris is a great scope.

BTW, did a compare on riflescopes <$2k, FFP, illum., and with an upper magnification of 9x to 12x, and here’s what I found:

USO – FOV too narrow
Vortex Viper PST 2-10x- Obj too small (32mm)
Bushnell Elite tac 3-12x- FOV too narrow

EOTech Vudu 2.5-10x- FOV too narrow

S&B Klassik 2.5-10x- FOV too narrow

It's a pretty hard scope to match apparently...

The ONLY complaint I have for my use is when on low magnification 2-4 ( which happens to be exactly where I'm wanting if for that huge FOV) the G2b reticle tends to mess with my brain, because the half mil mark is easier for me to pick up than the mil dot... So I keep mistaking the 1/2 mil for whole mil... If they made a scr mil version where the dots are and left the heavy stadia on the outside like the G2B I'd buy a few of them!!

The vortex on paper matches specs ok, but I can't attach my thermal to anything less than a 42mm... The reticle looks like it would fix my repeated mistaking the dots for being a half... And I don't know if the eyebox is as easy to get behind.

Don't be sorry! Thanks for trying to help! I may end up going sfp, but another member helped me get a better idea on how I might be able to mount my thermal onto the rail vs the scope objective. Going to give it a whirl and see what happens. If I can get away with that the vortex PST 2-10 is back on the table and might be just what I'm after

Don't think the 3-15 is going to keep up with FOV numbers, believe they are in the mid 30s... I have a M5Xi here that doesn't get what the little 2-10 does in the picture. I think I'm going to be married to 2x on the bottom for the FOV numbers I'm after.
