Gunsmithing scope torque wrench

Re: scope torque wrench

Never used either (I have an in/lb from Sears) but Warne makes what looks like a good one. I don't know about the Wheeler (Midway) one.
I like the wrench but it is more bulky. Plus side is I can use it on action screws, etc.
Look at tools from Brownells.

Re: scope torque wrench

We had a T-handle uber-superduper-highspeed torque wrench. It was like $160 and was a single setting. A friend of ours has a Borka and its kicks the snot out of ours. Portable, compact, and has more than one setting. Guess what our next one will be?

Yes, it uses 1/4 hex bits. Do you have a Brownells dealer account? </div></div>
Thanks for the link. Even though I have a TW, The Borka looks easier to handle for rings, bases, etc. so I ordered one thru my Brownell's account.
Cost me over $250 though. Going to Brownells is like Walmart. You always buy more than you went for!!

Re: scope torque wrench

Snap-on 1/4" torque screw driver, adjustable from 5-40in/lb accepts any 1/4" bits (i.e. screw driver, torx, sockets etc). Kind of expensive but as a Snap-on the warranty is unreal.

Looks like this one is the re-branded CDI 5-40 inch-lbs., mentioned above. The only difference appears to be the color and the price, with SNAP-ON brand being more expensive.
