with a little thought you can accomplish the same thing with some 2x4 scraps, and a few dry wall screws

The assembly needs heft and adjustability so it doesn’t move when you turn the knobs. Your idea sucks.

Led sled too big and lacks adjustability. But a front rest with a cast iron base would work. Just take the top off and screw a pic rail to the center shaft.

Do you know what a led sled is? It is totally adjustable and weighted down with lead. I am confused

No it isn’t totally adjustable. It is not adjustable for vertical cant.
