I’m current building a lightweight Tikka T1x rifle

im looking to keep things lightweight, compact, zero magnification for fun close range shooting but just enough magnification to hit small targets at 200 yards with decent dials or bdc. So I I am leaning towards a LPVO scope

but wondering what’s you guys had success with before pulling the trigger on one.

If it is in your budget the Vortex Gen-3 Razor 1X10 fits that bill just fine.I have the Gen 2 E 1x6 and I shoot out to 200 yds with it but 6x is not enough for my old eyes to shoot small targets at 200 yds.

Did they lighten up the razor at all in the gen 3? He is wanting something lightweight and the gen 2 definitely was not light.

I briefly had my Razor gen 3 1-10 on my Tikka t1x for laughs and it worked very well. Granted I could never justify having it permanently mounted on my Tikka due to the cost.

From a magnification perspective, a 1-6 is fine unless you're trying to hit chipmunks at 200 yds. It's obviously cartridge dependent, but a 22lR at 200 yds is dropping around 20-25 MOA, so you will most likely have to dial and therefore, want exposed turrets. The Razor Gen 3 1-10 will actually make it out to juuust beyond 200 using only holds because the reticle extends to the bottom of the glass, but something to keep in mind. It's also $2k and impossible to find right now.

If you're looking for a high quality, reasonably priced, reasonably light LPVO with exposed turrets, EuroOptic has the Bushnell SMRS 1-6.5s on clearance for only $599. And they're only 17 oz. https://www.eurooptic.com/Bushnell-SMRS-1-65x24-ILL-CQ-BDC-Riflescope-ET71624.aspx

I’m leaning towards the leupold LPVO VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20 AR. It’s only 9 ounces and I can get custom turrets for my Ammo. Plus I figured since I have no issues shooting Small groups on 3 inch targets at 50 yards with a red dot. 4x should be enough magnification for 200 yards.

I think for a .22 I'd look at this deal.

Its got you covered for close range snap shooting, shooting groups at the range, multiple reticle options including BDC, and its 9.5 ounces.

it’s definitely the weight I’m looking for, but no zero magnification option.....but thanks
