Hello
I have a savage model 10fp with the HS precision stock. I bought it used, and the stock has numerous small scratches all over it like someone used steel wool to remove the paint that used to be on it. It is now currently flat black like it came from the factory, my question is how do I remove the scratches without damaging the stock(I dont want to go to deep into the material of the stock)? Do I just let it go since it is purely cosmetic, or can i fill the scratches? Just wondering if anybody has had a similar issue.

Re: Scratched Stock

I thought about that was looking at marine tex and thinking about just doing the whole stock. I have not decided if that would be in my skill level to make it look decent. One other question when you texture stocks how does the texturing take paint does it adhere very well?

Re: Scratched Stock

Don't get me wrong the rifle still shoots far better that I can, and that is really whats important to me . I was just wondering if there was a quick easy way to get rid of the scratches or hide them without too much work.
