Seating die

Checked around online and couldn’t find an answer on this.
I have a hornady match seating die with micrometer adjustment for 6mm creedmoor. Question is can the seating stem be changed out to be used on 308 and 300 winmag for the 168 eldm and 208 eldm bullets?
Is this a universal seating die or are they caliber specific?

Yes, you need the stem and the sleeve (separate parts)

I can find the seating stems but am unable to find the sleeve. Anybody know where you can pick them up at? I didn’t see them on hornady’s website either.

Call hornady, in the context of upgrading an existing die, they may send you them for free. They sent me some free sizer parts the other day. I was prepared to pay for them but the didn’t want any money.

If you felt like, you could get the “Custom Grade” seating die and then use the same micrometer for all 3 seating dies.

The custom grade dies sell for like $30 a set...I’d hope you could get the seating die standalone for $15-20 a piece

That is a good point. Looking at it, by the time I buy a seating stem and sleeve it would probably be more then a new custom grade seating die.

The “custom” grade seater is a generic semi universal seater per caliber. From 300 blackout on up is the same.

It’s why I hate my custom grade blackout seater.
